I know that 23andme had to apologize to Jews because they linked Ashkenazi to the Khazars, thus rendering their claim to Israel moot.

When did they have to apologize because genetic tests were finalized in 2013 that proved Ashkenazi were from Khazar and not Israel. It was stunning.
