The Outer Light is a YT account I follow. He's not American but well informed on the Liberty movement. Usually he's very astute. Maybe he just made an honest mistake getting taken in on this.

that said, see if they've been updated and/or made an updated video?

i imagine a lot of people would have, myself included, until news got out about it being a mere dns exploit.

Vigilia_Procuratio ago

Yes but a lot of people wouldn't know any difference between DNS poisoning and the arse end of Trojan's wooden horse.

True

The site was down for hours

argosciv ago

/shrug would be news to me, only thing verified with regards to the hack, so far as I know, is that it was merely a DNS exploit to point the wikileaks domain elsewhere - all other news is that their servers(ie, their data) remain(ed/s) in-tact.

Vigilia_Procuratio ago

Yes, so it would have been down while the correct DNS settings propagated. It's the same as making a new domain, it won't be live for a few hours while it sorts itself out.

The Outer Light was taken in by this hoax?

argosciv ago

unfamiliar with that term, but, it did concern the fuck out of me when we learned of it here.

thankfully, submissions elsewhere on voat pointed me to this little tidbit.

That said, other pizzagaters had already ascertained that the wikileaks servers were in-tact.

I just right now realized it's why there was a disinfo campaign/dns exploit attack!
