Look for entities that do biotech research in the LA area and reachable from there...cloning, fetal tissue research, etc. Invitrogen is one such company, UCLA is an educational research institution.

Clues: California is one of the states that went in big for this stuff.

On that tax statement in an earlier comment, I found some connections to Abbot Laboratories, Allergan and Medimmune.

I studied biotechnology in college. Job market tanked shortly before I graduated from college.

The closest Abbot Laboratories branch to Los Angeles is 15900 Valley View Ct. Sylmar, Ca.

Multiple Allergan locations in Irvine, CA

Medimmune location in 2655 First Street, Simi Valley, CA.
