During the fake mass/sermon where the priest mocks the Bible, the camera pans behind the podium to reveal HE IS STANDING ON A HOT PIZZA. What the hell does this mean?

Another eyebrow-raising thing in this scene is that the town mayor is wearing aluminum foil boots. Any connections to pizza/pizzagate?
