Interestingly, in this series, Enterprise, they encountered a galactic slave trade where women were forced into prostitution. The Enterprise captain Jonathan had just rescued one of them who told him she was taken from her home world and thrown into slavery when she was a little girl. Lots more human trafficking and slave trade refereces in this series than the other ones I've noticed.
