The son of Nashville Mayor Megan Barry has been found dead of an apparent drug overdose. Mayor Barry is best known for her work in the fight against sex slavery and pedophilia after she championed a new court designed specifically to prosecute human traffickers and give help to victims of trafficking and pedophile rings. A spokesperson for Mayor Barry’s office described her son as “a kind soul full of life” and say that her family is shocked by his sudden death as he had so much “laughter and love” in his life. Max Barry died Saturday night in Denver in what appears to be a “suicide” although the official cause of death won’t be declared until an autopsy report has been released.
