But the deputy attorney general is also G. Gordon Liddy's son. Liddy was the most colorful character involved in Watergate. He was in charge of putting together a political intelligence unit for the Nixon campaign who were called the Plumbers.

He was sentence to 20 years for his Watergate crimes. President Carter commuted it to 8 years. After prison he became a radio talk show host, an author, he was on Miami Vice, he even was a guest referee on Wrestlemania II
