No duh, and rejection of religion is not exempt. Believing in God or not is irrelevant, without absolute morals you get degeneracy veiled behind progress, its the same reason you have a United States constitution, hard limits.
I heartily recommend listening to Jordan Peterson if you want to find religion. He might be a political enemy of mine, but spiritually he's right on point. Atheists have hijacked the conversation about religion, and turned it away from our ancestors attempt to talk to their people through time, and into some kind of rejection of santa claus.
Reading sacred texts with the right mindset is a pretty amazing experience, even more heretical works like the Oera Linda is full of deep connections. I think the key part of the puzzle is to realize that religion is a wholly different kind of truth than empiricism. They don't compete with each other, they exist in harmony with one another.

I'd start with Jordan Peterson's Maps of Meaning 2017 series on youtube. Then the Bible series. Highly recommend.
