If Betsy DeVoss is any good she will change laws within the education system to tighten the restrictions on anyone working in schools with children. Anyone. We did not have such a large problem decades ago (yes there was child sex abuse) but it has exploded. If she does not have that power then there must be pressure put on those that do. This is an epidemic.
The laws where I am require extensive background checks even for contractors working on the school site. Apparently everyone passes the background check, yet abuse occurs. Making more laws will not fix anything.
