Our societal norms arent great and havent been all that good maybe ever. But true right and wrong never changes but society n tech do. Pedo is, was, and will always be wrong. Id have to see the actual research re pedos and who funded it and what were the parameters to comment on whether its legit or not. I currently do not believe that one can be born to be attracted, as an adult, to kids without socialization and poor character playing into it to a large degree. George is sick and needs help imo, but has comitted no crime if he shows to noone (but it may violate some states law).
