Goddamn it. .. . .. I'm sure I'd hate this guy, and his mode of leadership, but I have to point out: Allegations are Allegations. There's no proof any of them are true. We, here on voat, laugh at the "Listen and Believe" attitude.
Just so. The man has not been convicted yet. The allegations against him are very serious, and I think the matter absolutely ought to be referred to a grand jury; but until he is charged, tried, and convicted, we have to qualify our description of him:
"Seattle Mayor Ed Murray--who is probably a child molester--said he will not resign from office following calls from city leadership to do so."
That being said, if a grand jury will not indict him despite there being sufficient evidence to do so, then even though the "probably" actually gets stronger, the proof still isn't there.
In that case, we would have to say:
"Seattle Mayor Ed Murray--who is very probably a child molester, and who intimidated a grand jury into not indicting him--said he will not resign from office following calls from city leadership to do so."

What kind of proof do you need? A child welfare investigator concluded that he abused his foster son back in 1984 http://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/times-watchdog/mayor-ed-murray-sexually-abused-foster-son-child-welfare-investigator-found-in-1984/

That'll do just fine. The article doesn't link to any actual proof. Just that there are allegations and him "Strongly denying them."
Your link though; definitely goes a lot farther in terms of actual proof. Thanks.
