I could not see anything special about the mirrored image of the drum. Here is a list of all those pictured on the album, which includes Aleister Crowley among many others. It is possible that these are pictures of people who use marijuana or other "enhancement drugs."
The Winged Beatle explains the drum cover as well as other clips. The pics are of dead people cause they are at a funeral. Jesus was left out due to stirring controversy again after Lennon's earlier Beatlemania days comments about him. Dylan is featured only because he had recently had a near fatal motorcycle wreck.

Very interesting subject. I watched the documentary 'the winged beatle" -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0C_F04YceGg -- and there were some interesting points made. I took note that towards the end of the video there was an interview with Paul. The reporter asked "which rumor about you do you think is the most notable" and Paul thought for a minute before he turned to put down the mic, and as he was leaving he put the mic to his face and went "baaaaaaaaaa" -- which may be the most revealing moment in the whole thing.
I remember that. At the time the only thing that struck me was how Paul kept saying he couldn't think of any rumors concerning himself. Which is insane. So I thought that was the point that they were trying to make in the doc, that he was stonewalling about any "rumors." BUT, now I remember what you're talking about, he made the noise of a sheep. Never caught that til now. And of course it's a reference to his last name, Shepard, his birth name.
He just can't hold back. He wants recognition for what he did. That's why he keeps taking down certain songs on youtube, mainly ones that he wrote. He's so unlikable, but I guess if you put yourself in his shoes ... but he's the one that did the Faustian bargain. If people only knew the trauma that all this caused. That's why for those who are interested, the book is essential. The part of the song In My Life (Lennon reminiscing about lost friends), where the lyrics say, "I know I'll often stop and think about them," the last person shown is Paul, his old school chum. I'm verbose, please excuse.
