At the same time a hoax is dumped on the internet, intended to send of the President's supported reading through thousands of old emails. Are you not aware, you're being played?

This is not single sourced. There's three anonymous sources. And they seem to be right on the money as the NY Times got the email exchange. Their story just went up.
When the told JR they had the emails, he put them out himself.

The NY Times reached out to Donald Jr. for comment, he commented. He then changed his story several times. And hired a lawyer who had defended 4 of NYC's 5 mob families. Do you think Donald Trump Jr would be changing his story, if the Times didn't have pretty good evidence on this story. They have who from the Trump team attended, where it was, when it was, who arranged it and on the record quotes from the lawyer they met with.
Yes, you can get burned by anonymous sources, but my bet is one of the people they spoke to was at that meeting.
Remember Don Jr first claimed he met with no Russians, then he claimed he didn't remember this meeting, then he was giving very specific denials about details in that meeting. The Times published stories for 4 straight days on this and there story has been straightforward. It's Team Trump that can't get their stories correct.
