I second that and would add a "We'll dance on your grave" sentiment they are relishing.
I think it is smart of you to suggest they'd haunt his memorial like ghouls to pick up on gossip and any loose lips or loose ends they might need to sew up.
I just think of the worst things those people could possibly do, and I think, Yeah, that is certainly a possibility, they do not have ANY scruples. None.
