Believe me, it's even worse if you have ever worked in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
To prevent nightmares from this, it helps to have a very strong spiritual life and understand that the ultimate outcome will be the fulfillment of Perfect Justice.
I have an "associate" geneticist who believes that humans are a pig-monkey hybrid anyway. If that is true, then the human-porcine hybrid is breeding us back.
The etymology of chimera dates back centuries (based upon "mythologic creatures," of course)
chimera (n.) Look up chimera at Dictionary.com
fabulous monster, late 14c., from Old French chimere or directly from Medieval Latin chimera, from Latin Chimaera, from Greek khimaira, name of a mythical creature, slain by Bellerophon, with a lion's head, a goat's body, and a serpent's tail (supposedly personification of snow or winter); literally "year-old she-goat" (masc. khimaros), from kheima "winter season" (see hibernation). Figurative meaning "wild fantasy" first recorded 1580s in English (attested 13c. in French).
Given the preponderance of chimeras in the art of the ancients (including but not limited to the ancient Greeks), many believe that they had advanced technology back then and they were actually dabbling in genetic experiments and creating chimeras. Many Christians believe that this technology dates back to the antediluvian period and that that was the reason for the Great Flood (to wipe out the monsters). Another version I have heard is that the Great Flood was to wipe out the Kenites (Cain's seed). However, Kenites still roam the world today so they obviously survived the flood.
Just food for thought.
BTW, my geneticist friend never uses the term chimera, only hybrid. I guess he has trained me. :) He has a Ph.D. in genetics, has worked in the field for decades, and is absolutely brilliant. He is filming an upcoming TV program so his name may become household. The theoretical chimp-pig hybridization would have occurred waaaaaay back in our evolution, if anyone is wondering about that.

Yes, agreed. This has to do with an infatuation w/ cloning I believe? Edit: Oh I see Equine's comment about it.

More transspecies than cloning, but yes cloning would be included as part of the process.
You can see references to crossing us with rabbits and pigs. The porcine-human hybridization has already begun.
