I remember River Pheonix as a kid, I cannot help but now look back and wonder, what really happened there?
It for some reason also reminded me of the writer of Alice in Wonderland, a story, I too became familliar with as a child... Dodgson, who just happened to be madly in love with a little girl who became his muse and inspiration, also had a penchant for photographing kids in the nude.

I think River was in fact sexually abused as a child. A while back i read an interview where he actually strongly alluded to it. I love River Phoenix. He grew up in that Children of God cult, which was infamous for promoting sexual abuse of children.
There was certainly something special about him... These people formed part of growing up and then to later find out, it's bedded in this awful evil sickness that plagues this world we live in. There are no words...
