Go take a look at the comments on this video of a baby being injected, as well as the top comment suggesting the person administering this vaccine didn't know what they were doing and trying to further this babies pain.
"Well, here is the thing, I work in pediatrics as well. She never cleaned the injection site, she gave him the shot in the wrong place, and that needle looked 1 inch. 1. Clean the injection side 2. Hold baby leg flat on the table (or pinned by your body weight, depending on the office procedure) 3. Inject SWIFTLY, not slowly or like they are being stabbed 4. Injection site is supposed to be on the thigh muscle, so 2 inches or so down from where the leg meets the hip socket and a little off to the side. 5. And the needle should be 5/8! A 1 inch needle can hit the bone causing more pain. It's painful enough getting a shot in the leg, why make it that much more agonizing"

jesus! you're right- i don't know what that was about, but the technique was wrong in every way you said. freaking insane!! also, double shots often given simultaneously by 2 nurses in each anterior thigh.
