Ages ago I spent some time in Denver as a teenager. Even then I could sense an evil vibe to the city, especially around the capitol building. So many young prostitutes around it with johns in expensive cars pulling up to buy their wares.

That in itself is not evil. A willing case of supply and demand.

It was evil and exploitive in my book. Many of the prostitutes appeared no older than myself at the time. (16)

No one wants to work the streets. What the Denver people were seeing was poverty, coercion, and addiction. Theoretically prostitution may be morally permissible, such as in the cases of expensive sex workers and appreciated porn actresses. However, most work outdoors in horrifically dangerous working conditions (e.g. violence, homicide, STD's). Most studies indicate a large majority of the women want to leave the profession.

I'll get off my soap box :p

Stay on the soap box, the world needs to hear what you are saying.

I remember MANY young males, too. In fact, observing young males getting into fancy cars driven by older males in suits outside the capitol building in Denver was the first I realized teen males could be prostitutes, too. Call me naive, but I was 16 and the year was 1977. I am sure the area is even seedier today. <<<shiver>>>
