It would also be nice to have one's own unlikely unsubstantiated claims believed. I'm not saying it wouldn't be a pain in the ass, but if you're not full of shit and if you give a shit, that's what it would take. Simple as that.
I understand. The thing is if it happens to me and doesn't happen again then who gives a damn, but if it happens to me then happens to someone else then it is more interesting. If you don't know it happened to me because I don't say anything then there is no way to spot a trend.
Just supposing it was true, the only way it's going to be caught is for people to archive their submissions right after submitting them. That's a minor pain in the ass, so the only people that are likely to do it are people to whom it has happened. Sure if you can convince others to do it, that's fine, but good luck with that. You're more than welcome (by me, a nobody) to write a script that archives all Voat submissions and then goes back and checks them later. Have fun with that. If it's happening, that would prove it, but if it's not, then have fun wasting your time writing a program to do that. And if you're lying and you want to fake it, then you're going to have to control a trusted archival website, which is more than a minor pain in the ass. Have fun regardless of what you decide to do or not do.
Yes, but the likelihood of Spez doing shit like that is was much more likely than somebody doing it on Voat, and yes I'm accounting for hindsight when I state that opinion.
Edit: It would have been hard to get anyone to believe it while Reddit still had a decent reputation if the changes by Spez hadn't been totally retarded.
That controversy wasn't the first shit to go on over at Reddit. They have a shit reputation because they're constantly doing horrible shit right out in the open. Voat has a decent reputation because they're not constantly pulling shit like that, at least not out in the open. Voat has a better reputation than some anon's baseless (er, unsubstantiated) claims. Reddit has a worse reputation than some anon's baseless claims.

If you want anyone to believe you, start archiving your submissions before and after from now on. Until then, you're full of shit. Sorry, not sorry.

It would be nice not to have to do that.

Spez got caught. Before that people talked about what was going on.

How do you know what the likelyhood is if no one talks about it?

Ye shall know them by their works or some shit.

I'm learning some shit by their shit.
