On 28 July 2013, Lady Gaga and Marina Abramovic were photographed together at a Watermill Center's 20th Annual Big Bang Benefit at the Hamptons. The evening's theme was 'Devil's Heaven'

They were joined by avant-garde stage director Robert Wilson who at the time was in collaboration with Gaga on her fourth studio album 'Artpop', released November 2013.

The event raised $1.85 million and drew other faces including graduate student Alexander Soros, son of George Soros, founder of the Perry Partners hedge fund, Richard Perry, Glenn Fuhrman of MSD Capital LP, Jay Sugarman of iStar Financial Inc., Robert Jain, head of Credit Suisse alternative investments, actors Winona Ryder and Alan Cumming and fashion consultant Fern Mallis
