Don't take this personally, but whenever I see a very new account consistently making strong comments about a sensitive espionage-related story, I start having second thoughts about the perspective they espouse.

Defango has another youtube discussion of the difference in the two files which is a bit easier for the layman to understand. What was mentioned in that discussion is that Trish was supposed to deliver that thumb drive from rabbit directly to wikileaks and she screwed up by delivering it to George. Per Defango, she not only broke chain of custody she didn't deliver the original to George, she uploaded it and made a working copy for George...if I'm understanding this correctly. Defango promised more on this dispute. Meanwhile there has been another computer expert comparing the Trish version to the September Gussifer 2.0 version which could be a waste of time if Trish's version is contaminated.

I'm sorry for being so dumb but who is rabbit and how did he come into possession of the files which he downloaded and passed on to Trish? And how does Defango come into the picture?

To my knowledge, how Rabbit came into possession of the files, and who he is are secrets. Defango came on the scene when George and Jason asked for help from their viewers with looking at the files. They later accused Defango of messing with the files, but he has proven that he didn't, that in fact George Webb got in and locked some of them.
