Thanks for your post and for following this community. I'm glad you're here and I sincerely welcome you.
I want to be sure that you understand you're welcome before I say this. There are some vocal jerks on this community that are part of the alt-right movement that repeatedly encourage racism and conspiracies against Jews. Be ready for that. It is not representative of every person in this community.
There is also the attitude that society has been on a downward spiral and they see the LGBT movement as part of that progression from traditional western values to where we are now. I do share this attitude. However, I do not equate consenting adults doing things I may personally disagree with to an adult violating a child. I just don't agree that the LGBT movement has been positive for our society. I think that is a more representative attitude of the dissenting majority here than all-out hate for LGBT people. I definitely don't hate the people themselves. I have friends that are gay, as many here probably do. Homosexuality is a sin according to my religion but my religion also says to treat others as you would like to be treated and win people to the cause of Christ with love and kindness. A lot of the "God hates fags" crew seem to ignore this. Sad.
It's interesting that you assert SJWs are not representative of the average LGBT person. I find this a little hard to swallow, but honestly I have no way of knowing whether or not this is true. The screaming minority often deceives you into thinking everyone believes as they do. I think this is the case with feminism, so maybe it is the case with non-hetero, non-cisgender people as well! Thanks for bringing that up.
Regardless of my opinions towards LGBT, I don't want to see people being unkind or hysterical towards them any more than you do. I also don't want them to feel unwelcome here. This is about the kids and about taking our country(countries?) back from the hands of evil, sick people and everyone who is on the side of right is welcome here as far as I'm concerned.
