Could be because he knows about the coming GCR (Global Currency Reset) where the world's currency will be changed to one backed by Gold, precious metals and minerals. We all know our current Fiat currency means nothing and is how we are made to be slaves, that will all be changed so the new currency will actually mean something. He's prob doing his best to get rid of his cash and hide his gold ect before he gets arrested.
