I wholeheartedly agree; a vote should indeed be on merit irrespective of demographics. And personally, if I were asked to choose between an equally qualified male or female, the male would get my vote. It's true to me that women in power just don't deal the same way as their male counterparts, (this from a country that still reverberates with the damage of Thatcherism and currently struggling with the same under the only other female PM we've ever had) so yes, this may well be down to an absence of "reason and accountability"! I don't agree this applies to all women, however - such generalisations are fairly misogynistic imo. I do enjoy winding you a little sometimes, though!
