Congressman Blake Farentold from Texas who sits on the oversight committee told CNN this afternoon that there has to be a proper investigation into the D.N.C. leaks in view of developments on the Internet, i.e., the Seth Rich story and CNN aggressively challenged his reliance on fake news swirling on the internet. Farenhold refused to budge from his position. Will someone please make a proper post on this story as I do not have the computer skills to do so. There are important people listening to us.

I'm sure this is the interview you're referring to:

A Texas Republican Congressman just said something deeply irresponsible about Seth Rich's murder | By Chris Cillizza, CNN Editor-at-large | Updated 2:48 PM ET, Wed May 24, 2017

Excerpts:

At issue is a since-retracted report last week from Fox News Channel and the local Fox affiliate in D.C. alleging that evidence had been uncovered showing that Rich had been in contact with WikiLeaks prior to his murder. (I'm not linking to the report because it has been retracted. More on that below.)

Those reports added fuel to an ongoing and unfounded conspiracy theory in a corner on the Internet that the hacking of the DNC was an inside job -- that Rich was an informant exposing the corruption of the party committee and had been killed for it. (This also assumes the CIA and FBI were wrong in their assessment that the hack of the DNC server was perpetrated by the Russians.) ...

The facts of the case haven't stopped conspiracy theorists -- aided by a major push on the story from Fox News star Sean Hannity -- from insisting that the initial Fox report on Rich and WikiLeaks was accurate and is now being pushed aside by the very forces they claim murdered Rich in the first place.

Drugged up with the flu, and I'm sure I'd screw this up as an OP. So, this is the best I can do right now. Maybe someone else will ...

I fail to see how the DNC claims of "the Russians hacked us" isn't a conspiracy theory itself. They have produced NO evidence. The MPD saying SR's murder was a "botched robbery" (notice how that changed from robbery to "botched" robbery) is merely a theory as they have provided nothing as evidence to prove it was or wasn't.

"Unfounded conspiracy theory" my ass!
