Cicada development is so that the insect larvae dig in, and remain underground for either 13 or 17 years. These numbers are in this context, again, satanic signatures.
The larvae are called nymphs. It's a common term for insect larvae, but the word has a second meaning, it's meaning to be found in Greek mythology and derivative lore. It's a mythical creature based on sex and lust as a means to conquer and consume. A meta synonym to 'nymph' is "succubus", another term for lust demons. We also know the term nyphomane, referring to women with an exceedingly high sex drive.
The two things (the 13/17, and 'nymphs') don't tell much on their own. But, when put together in the same encompassing context (Cicada3301) then it indisputably tells of occult / luciferist origin.

My belief is that the NWO sees that Trump may not play along in Syria, so this attack was used to get the UK involved in going into Syria.
Let's hope this doesn't lead to WW3 with Russia already in Syria so heavily.
