Is it possible that Seth is the one who phished skippy? Then got the emails that way? And the DNC knew that from their audit of the sanders campiagn breech that it was seth, then put the hit out on him with the whole intention of getting that computer? (granted by now i think that computer is fucked even if we ever see it, it would be compromised and i guarantee it will lead to the Russians)

It's not possible. The DNC and Podesta were only two of dozens of places hacked. Thousands of people were spearfished using a very sophisticated fake Google credentials page.. Time magazine just reported thousands of Twitter accounts of US military personnel were hacked.
The hacking was so professional and sophisticated even after the FBI knew the systems had been penetrated, they still couldn't get the Intruders out for quite some time. The malware used multiple sophisticated defenses at the same. No one person could have done this. There was too much code to write and update. We know that the same attackers had hacked the German Congress, Polish government facilities, NATO, the EU, and others. This was a well known Nation-State affiliated crew that security professionals​ have known about for years.
This was the full-time job of many people.

It's possible and it would make sense that there was something to retrieve from Seth, either the laptop or a thumbdrive. You are sadly most likely right about it being compromised. :/
