A small fish, but, important and related to Pizzagate due to this criminal committing the crimes while at the White House:
"At the time of his arrest, Moore was assigned to protect the White House complex, and prosecutors said he sent some of the materials while on guard duty at the White House."
I don't know about you all, but, even viewing inappropriate content at work would make me a bit nervous... and I've worked at some pretty chill places. Secret Service, former marine, on premise @ the White House? And he feels comfortable to send explicit images of himself to an underage girl?
We need to ask ourselves, what kind of culture must one be in to make it seem "ok" to do such disgusting things while at the White House?
Also, important to note, this happened back in 2015.

I wonder if he acted alone or was he part of a group of white house staffers using government time and computers to pursue their sordid interests.

I'm beyond certain that they will do everything in their power to contain that information if it is true... although, the defendant getting 20 years seems a bit extreme. Doesn't sound like he "took a deal" to spill intel.
But, to choose between 20 years in jail or suicide via 2 shots to the back of your head is a pretty easy decision.
