The offender registry provides names, addresses, ages, and even the type of crime committed. Could sex offenders be using this information to find like-minded individuals, with the same type of disgusting sexual interests as themselves? This is seriously horrifying to even think about

Since the vast majority of so-called sex offenders would not hurt a flea much less a child, this becomes a non-question. Why shouldn't members of a persecuted and innocent interest group be allowed freedom of association as guaranteed in the Constitution?

Felons on probation can't congregate. Keep convicted sex predators on probation for life. Florida has habitual offender statues that accomplish this goal.

Shillary - probably 22 or 23 - Reve keeps her age under wraps. The issue is the hypocrisy that she was underage by law, and that even if she did look older, according to John Walsh's stance on that regarding other people, men who violate that law should be on the sex offender list themselves.

I think most states only have a 2-3 year window for the Romeo and Juliet exception. 7-8 years is certainly not in that window and he should have known better. I've worked in criminal defense helping attorneys (I'm not a lawyer) where I was ordered to defend pedos for my bosses (writing briefs and meeting clients) but I don't think I could ever actually defend a pedo if the choice was up to me, probably not a 22 year old with a 16 year old even after all of this has come down.

You can get on this registry for public urination or buying a legal age prostitute. Also if you have enough money you don't get put on the registry. I've seen a 48 year old man who confessed to raping an 8 year old get 5 years probation and no registry.

I don't see why pedos would want to associate with busted pedos. The authorities would be interested in their interest and they'd go on a watch list . The ACLU and other Democrat organizations have been trying all kinds of irrational excuses like this to shut down the registry so that their pervert community can move around freely without people in their neighborhoods being on alert.

A better question about the registry is why are some sex offenders not on it or their listing doesn't link to enough information to know who exactly the person is or where the person is. Your Paula Poundstones and Denny Hasterts with friends in high places are suspiciously missing from the list. Bill Clinton's Advance Man James McHaney is strangely not on the registry. At least the Florida ag got Epstein put on the list which is a surprising achievement.

It also creates a false impression of who the large scale threats are to your children, and society. Individual offenders are settled in residential areas and are primarily stereotypical dirty old men, everyone's idea of a pedo. It creates tension and fear in these neighborhoods for anyone with children and reinforces concepts they create.
