I've started to realize all the stories are fucked up. Little red riding hood anyone? The wolf eats grandma and disguises himself as her so he can eat the little girl too? Peter and the wolf where he gets eaten by a wolf? Why do we read these sick stories to our children??
I believe those "sick" stories were the way that parents and society warned children of the dangers back then. It's much more palatable -- and looks less "crazy" -- masked in a fairy tale.
