Yeah. I've been backing off of my earlier thought that it should be called Pedogate and ditch the Pizzagate moniker. I think JA's and his crew's attempts to silence investigators and cover up the smoke is because there's a fire in Buck's basement. So Pizzagate shouldn't be pushed aside as an investigation. What you said is true-- a major breakthrough in either will break everything wide open. Prepare for the Shill Attack.
Do we know with absolute certainty they aren't? I haven't thought about this much but I can think of a few famous tunnels that were dug quietly and with not much more than a spoon. (Think Alcatraz and Stalag 13.) So even if JA didn't hire a contractor who pulled a permit and put in an obvious door, that doesn't mean there isn't a tunnel. Just thinking out loud here.

The invitation did say to enter Comet THROUGH Buck's. What does that mean if the basement/lower areas aren't connected?

We don't know either way but the invitation stated something along the lines of "enter through Buck's" for the Comet party.

And if the sauce is in fact stored in Buck's basement a throughway would be quite helpful in getting to it.
