I have been listening to his music for several years and frankly interpreted this video - and much of his work - as a CRITICISM of our society and its evils, rather than being in support of it.
He seems to me sadly accepting/acknowledging of how messed up our society is, but not in approval of it - like someone who has been worn out and decided the best they can do is try to point out the bad stuff instead of fight it directly.
