Everyone should look at their local present and past district and family judges. Check their affiliation with child protection groups. Check their docket history.
Are they "founders" or "directors" of child advocacy programs? Is their spouse a member of the education system or cps/dhs system or youth programs?
What is their case history with child abuse? Any low bonds patterns? Are there any cases they recused themselves from? Why?
Are there local rumors? Who are their social friends? Has there been any corruption exposed that could implicate them?
Are there any local banks or boards that the judge sits on?
These are questions that I am asking myself as I look into a local judge. I am a curious person. There is always a reason why people make the choices they do-and it's usually because they have something to gain from it.
