Bob Bemer told police when arrested that the activities had been going on for the last 25yrs. His attorney was connected to Bill Clinton's campaign in the 90's. Also arrested were the trafficker, Robert King and William Trefzger who is a registered sex offender. From what I've read Bemer and Trefzger aren't connected, just clients of Robert King. Bemer and Trefzger were originally given $500,000 cash only bonds; however, Bemer was released shortly after his arrest on a $500k cash surety bond meaning he only had to post 10% for release.
Robert King was originally charged with prostitution; but, that charge was later changed to Human trafficking with a new $1million bond. At the time this story broke, police stated more arrests would be forthcoming
Two victims filed suit right after the arrest; and now a third victim has filed suit to freeze $5million of Bemer's assets. He has several businesses.
