Pro-tip: If you need workers who are willing to live on-site with children and work 60 hours a week for less than $40,000 a year despite having a bachelors and/or master's degree, the only people you will attract for the job are idiots and pedophiles.
Yes, but I think it has far less to do with money, than it does access to children and opportunity. These Washington big wigs do not need the marginal profits which one can hope for by owning a pizza joint.
These kinds of people take jobs like this in order to hide in plain sight, and be protected by the institutions that created their perversions to begin with.
Where there are children, there are pedophiles.
When access to children is the primary compensation for the job, you get more pedophiles. If you want fewer pedophiles in schools, make them compete with professionals who expect actual compensation for their work.
What sort of person gets that job... hiring teachers... ?
This is top down, institutionalized pedophilia.
It begins and ends with the top tier.
How does allowing the administrators to knowingly employ perverts; enact a strict policy of shaming, and threatening victims into silence, with no one in law enforcement offering any sort of protection or justice to these children, fix the problem?
The head of the snake is represented in all of these cases...and thats where we start making the biggest changes.
The problem there is that anyone currently in a position to move against these long held practices is totally in on it, blackmailed, threatened, or otherwise not talking.....

Principals hire new staff with the budget provided by taxpayers.

Incorrect, it's mostly the fault of taxpayers.

They don't, and most teachers I know go through extraordinary lengths to avoid false rape accusations from their students. School districts would hire fewer pedophiles if the primary compensation for teaching was something other than having control over children.

If taxpayers offered teachers a decent salary commensurate with their skills, responsibilities, and workload, the profession would attract more individuals who aren't pedophiles.
Teaching attracts pedophiles because the primary compensation is access to children. This happens regardless of what higher-up's desire because funding is limited by taxpayers and professionals don't work for free. You end up with pedophiles teaching because they put more value on access to children versus payment. If you want fewer pedophiles, you need to attract skilled professionals who put less value on access to children and more value on money.
You must be a teacher. ... Chill out... Not ALL teachers are perverts. I'm a teacher!

This is one institution where perversions were covered up, as per policy.
