-Brit POP (as oppose to Brit Rock or Brit Glam Rock or Brit Punk or Brit New Wave or Brit Soul etc.

Rules out creeps from The Who and Led Zep., talked about frequently on this board.

I can't think of any legendary British "pop" stars from the 1970s apart from Elton John or Cliff Richard - and I don't think they like 'girls.' Its also worth noting that The Sun are notorious for planting subtle clues - perhaps a pun on a well known song, for example - in articles where they can't name names.

Sting - aka Gordon Sumner was actually a teacher before his 'Police' fame and wrote that song about his fears of potential accusations. However his well documented penchant for tantric sex leads me to wonder if he's a little occult orientated
