Years ago I had an idea for show about an unusual topic I thought would be of interest. I spent six months studying the television industry, and then tried submitting a proposal to a number of producers, thinking that compelling writing and interesting subject matter would be cause to generate some interest. Wrong. There is a zero probability of anyone outside the fold compelling anyone on the inside. Hollywood is more cloistered than North Korea.

In any event, the part that is relevant is in my research, I learned that talent agencies, modelling agencies, production houses, etc., (virtually anything that falls under the umbrella of entertainment) are all incredibly transient, and change names and locations at the drop of a hat. The Hollywood Creative Directory is published annually and is virtually obsolete the next year due to changes of as much as perhaps 30%. I think every modelling agency could be suspect, but to be honest, the anomaly you discovered does not strike me as unusual at all because of the nature of the industry. And there is nothing illegal per say about working from a residence.

"I spent six months studying the television industry and then tried submitting a proposal to a number of producers, ... There is a zero probability of anyone outside the fold compelling anyone on the inside. Hollywood is more cloistered than North Korea."

You are a moron of the first order.

First of all, Hollyweird is NOT the TV industry! Hollyweird is the FILM industry.

It's called a TREATMENT. You spent "six months studying the TV industry" but didn't learn a FUNDAMENTAL fact like that? If you don't even know what it's called, then it probably wasn't even in proper format. Then you wonder why your crappy "submission": didn't go anywhere?!

You call this LOGIC?! "My crappy submission didn't go anywhere, ergo the industry is clannish and corrupt."

I guess you're still frustrated with me pointing out your failed attempt to look smart here: https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1673358/8738590/10#8738590

When telling a random anecdote in a forum, there is no obligation to write with enough precision to satisfy a loser like you who's spoiling for a fight. But I'm always willing to oblige.

  1. Congratulations for pointing out it's actually called a treatment. A treatment is a proposal. The average VOAT reader would understand what a proposal is sooner than what a treatment is. End of story.

  2. While Los Angeles and surrounding area is divided up into regions that have certain strong suits or specialties, Burbank, Santa Monica, Malibu, Sherman Oaks, etc., you are perhaps the only man alive that doesn't recognize the term Hollywood as the quintessential nomenclature for all things broadcast/entertainment, which includes television. Did you know that the preeminent directory that lists every television producer, every television network, every television equipment company, and every agency that represents television actors, television scriptwriters, and television stagehands, etc., etc,. is called THE HOLLYWOOD DIRECTORY?

  3. Given that I studied the formats of previously successful proposals (or treatments) and replicated the format faithfully in order to increase the likelihood of being given consideration, format had nothing to do with rejection. It was rejected because I was unrepresented. You see, producers, production companies, and networks will not accept or even peruse unsolicited proposals. It is required to come from a talent agency that would be representing me, as they represent all other writers. But here's the interesting thing. Agencies will also refuse to consider unsolicited proposals. They can and will demand some kind of referral from someone already in the entertainment industry. The networks and the agencies say it is due to the sheer volume of submissions they receive. The system is closed to outsiders. End of story.

However, the experience was not a total loss as I did manage to amass one of the finest collections of rejection letters from all the major TV networks while gaining a much deeper insight into the workings of the entertainment industry than possessed by your average dolt, like you.

Don't bother trying to look smart, especially in response to any post I make.

Dude. My sister in law is Argentine, family escaped from Sicily after being exposed as jew-mafia. She has been a script supervisor for a ton of movies and tv shows that you've seen. She recently became redpilled, and at the last job interview she went to, she was told by the Jewish producer that she should be picking lettuce. He actually asked her how she managed to find out that there was a position open, "was there a poster on the telephone pole in the strawberry patch?" he asked.

Hollywood has truly been taken over by the vultures 100%. And it seems to have infiltrated everything and everyones minds everywhere and we keep lapping it up. As you say, modelling, talent, etc. which then leads into thefashion industry. Interesting too, how everything is anindustryor you`re in thesystem`` be it educational, medical, the list goes on with industries and systems.

"Hollywood has truly been taken over by the vultures 100%."

The vultures (JEWS) CREATED Hollywood. Hollyweird is 100% JEWISH and ALWAYS has been. Ergo, no "takeover" was necessary.

It was created by vultures.

I agree. I had no remote idea back then as to what the industry was really about. Now I do, and in retrospect understand why I was met with a stone wall. Even the companies which one might naively assume are high minded have plunged into the gutter. Take Discovery Channel for example. It has become the home of some of the worst brain destroying reality television shows to ever hit the airwaves, Toddlers and Tiaras instantly comes to mind. No doubt the highest rated cable broadcast show ever among pedophiles, probably outdistancing second place by an order of magnitude. TLC's show lineup across all their channels has been an abomination for more than a decade now.

Your post made me think of this video where a guy who was in prison talks about the shows you shouldn't watch in prison. Dancing Moms was the #1 show. Toddlers and Tiras would be up there too. There's only one reason why an adult male would watch that shit.

Hmm okay. I'm going to keep looking into this.
