I'm still not sure what "conspiracy theory" means in the context of pizzagate. Podesta said he had a handkerchief pizza map. There has been no attempt by Podesta or anybody connected to Podesta to explain why a handkerchief would have a pizza-related map on it. It seems like pizza is a code word. If so, what does it mean? The conspiracy theory is that Vladimir Putin went back in a time machine and forged Google-verified emails that he leaked to Wikileaks via Seth Rich in order to make Hillary's campaign manager look bad by inserting bizarre phrasing that mirrors that used by pedophiles. That's not pizzagate, though. That's the mainstream narrative. Pizzagate is not really a theory at all. It is an open investigation asking the questions that law enforcement ought to be asking. This is getting very confusing.

"seems like pizza is a code word" That's the part of it that people latch on to and say it's a conspiracy theory. Especially since the pedo-symbols aren't found at Comet but the businesses adjacent to it and the code has yet to be verified by anyone other than 4chan. 'Cheese pizza' has been know for ages in law enforcement as code for child porn but interestingly that is the one phrase that is never used in the Podesta emails. So that's where people get the conspiracy thing from.
