It's turning into a witch hunt tbh. Because some modern day pedos appropriated an ancient symbol does not mean it always meant what it does now.
Besides the obvious mythological appearances of Labyrinths, they also had deep metaphysical meaning to those who utilized them in meditation and art. Many cultures and religions from all over the world saw labyrinths as a representation of life's winding path from birth to death and/or the journey to self-understanding or to God itself. Some were even used to trap or confuse evil spirits. They are found on coins, pottery and even church and temple floors. Today people still build and walk labyrinths as a contemplative and meditative tool. Some are square, some triangular, some circular. Some have meandering random paths, while some are mathematically precise and symmetrical. Many look like spirals, just like the galaxies, emerging fern fronds, snail shells, whirlpools, weather patterns, etc., that ancient peoples no doubt encountered and wondered at in nature on an almost daily basis.
So I'm not defending Greek pedos, as I'm sure someone is just itching to reply with, I'm putting the function of the labyrinth symbol into perspective. Every spiral does not mean sex with boys is afoot.
