you have to be seriously compromised or "disordered" to argue it's not a crime. like with most bad (in this case heinous) acts it may be both, but it is definitely a crime (literally too --- its on the criminal books in every state)
Well, technically, you have to be an ACTIVE pedophile for it to be crime.
There's at least one self-proclaimed pedophile on this board who has pointed to that technicality in a post to me.
uh, yeah, there's no thought police....yet. but, can you be a pedophile without acting upon it? (don't wanna google that definition). anyway, yes you can think about murder all day and not be subject to a related crime unless you try, assist, or complete a murder
