Yeah, the only thing I don't agree with here is the sixteen year old dating the eighteen year old thing. Michigan in particular is really weird about these laws, always ready and willing to ruin people's lives as soon as they begin. I cannot tell you how many teenagers have their potentials destroyed over this for absolutely no fucking reason. We're talking about kids being put on sex offender lists and being sent to prison for dating a peer. They are close enough in age, and you cannot tell me that a 16 year old doesn't know what they're doing there, and somehow, magically the 18 year old does. Two years is not a significant enough gap in age to warrant such draconian punishment for quite literally doing something that everyone did in High School.
