No time to read 177 comments, but... 14 and postpubescent = nature says you're ready. Man says no. Hence the conflict. Postpubescent is not pedo, technically. There's another word for it, and that's as it should be, since we are descended from people who married and started families at 13 (out of necessity, with life spans being much shorter).

Is there an agenda behind this? Quite possibly. However, to oppose it, we'll have to think carefully about the principles involved. WHY is it "bad" to "allow" a 14 year old to decide about their own sexual activity? What DO we do with sexual activity among teens?

These are not easy questions because we've pitted ourselves against nature. (I'm talking only about postpubescents!) Now we have to defend that position, or perhaps alter it. Any alteration is scary (slippery slope?), but it's being challenged, so an intelligent response will be needed.
