The user found that in one of the podesta emails, an image tested positive to a steganography method called JPHIDE. In non technical terms this means that hidden data (text message, other image, or any other file) has been intentionally encoded in the image itself. If someone managed to find the password, he or she would have access to the hidden data, which in turn could potentially be a smoking gun.

I think the emails are interesting in the sense that the MSM chose to defend JA but didn't focus in on things like the Luzatto email w kids in the pool. I mean, you'd think it would be more important for a grandmother to step up and defend herself against people thinking the email sounded suspiciously like a child trafficking arrangement vs the local pizza shop dude.
As for this image, you only go to these lengths to disguise an image when sharing something you want only the receiver to be able to view. I wonder if there are more of these in the Wiener laptop.
