Do not remember the whole story on this, but I think I remember it was his niece. A relative of some sorts. It was not an adoption.

Here is another though this looks in age likemaybe this is the younger sister of the other girl pictured. I could be wrong though photo here
They do not resemble each other, although the situations are different. This may cause different facial expressions. Hard to tell.
