For clarity, since to me, the word turns implies this is current news. This letter was first (as best I can tell) published November 2, 2016 on BuzzFeed News:

They show the letter to also be dated November 2, 2016

She's not being nasty and nothing in her letter is nasty. I will say, she's very articulate for a 16-year-old. She probably had some help with this, and THAT IS PERFECTLY OKAY.
