I don't know if this has been posted before, but after seeing the posts about Mary Podesta (the brother's mom) I started to look into her a bit more and came across this article: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/03/11/AR2007031101494.html It's from the Washington Post and talks about how great a cook she was in the D.C. area...like REALLY good...I mean, to me it's creepy how obsessed these people are with cooking and food and their related "events". Of course, this could all just be about literal cooking, but if you read it in "pizzacode" it's bizarre.

There's nothing bizarre about this.
I grew up in an Italian neighborhood where it was no uncommon to buy bread in one store, meat in another, cheese in a third and vegetables in yet a different store. This was routine. As was Sunday dinner. Which happened around noon and lasted for hours as friends and cousins would stop by to visit all afternoon long. After church, a big pot of red sauce would be started and by the afternoon it would be filled with meatballs and sausages and you'd have enough bread for sandwiches for any late comers.
My Mom had a big old 7 quart oval French enamel pot she got from her grandmother just for this purpose.
