"Welch has pleaded guilty to a federal charge of interstate transportation of a firearm and a local DC charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. Prosecutors and the defense team have agreed that Welch faces a likely range of 18 to 24 months in prison for the federal charge and 18 to 60 months for the local offense under the applicable sentencing guidelines.
US District Court Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson has scheduled Welch's sentencing for June 22. He has been in custody since his arrest in December."
Not entirely sure if this ends up being good or bad for the investigation, being the whole actor part and everything... could be him taking one for the team by going to jail and later prison.
Anyone heard any other takes on this?

Something I think that gets overshadowed in this story: We're supposed to believe that this 'mad man' was so convinced about PG that he drove for hours to go to CPP, but when he couldn't immediately find any evidence he just completely changed his mind?
This should be pretty difficult to accept for anyone with even a modest understanding of cognitive dissonance.

He didn't change his mind. He used one of his many firearms he was carrying simultaneously and shot a bullet into the CPP server.
There are so many things difficult to accept for anyone with even a modest functioning human brain.
