This is absolutely ludicrous: authorities needs confirmation that the missing person is in violent danger before they can issue an amber alert? How tf would they know if they're in violent danger? Isn't being kidnapped being in danger enough? This legislation is designed for the traffickers to win. This needs to change. Amber Alert is a bogus arm of the trafficking institutions. Time to start contacting your congressmen. Trey Goudy should address this stat!
He's full of shit. Most amber alerts I see are issued when the non-custodial parent hasn't returned their child in time after their weekend. There is no threat to them.
