this is all part of the public display. It is setting up the mass censoring of Google, generate the outrage with the LGBT bannings and the "why not censor x & y instead". The advertisers are not going to back away from Google - Google is getting them to make it look like their hand has been forced to prevent mass exodus when they target people for things that don't violate terms and conditions.
