The advertisers are not going to back away from Google - Google is getting them to make it look like their hand has been forced to prevent mass exodus when they target people for things that don't violate terms and conditions.
This is the establishment fighting back against the current tide of media empires crumbling in the face of an army of total amateurs with webcams producing much better content. All of these companies are probably owned by the same people who also run the media. They tried to take down pewdiepie and that failed, this is their next step to get back control
