Aisha was 16, not 6.

matheasysolutions ago

that is false. It is widely accepted by the Muslim world that she was 6. It was only recently that some apologists tried twisting history because the modern world finds it appalling.

Please read through this: http://wikiislam.net/wiki/Aishas_Age_of_Consummation

Classical Arab language used a base 20 number system. That's widely accepted by every historian from here to the east.

what?

what again?

Translation issue. If you accept that particular Hadith to be accurate, you accept it was written in classical Arab dialect.

again, can you explain what you are talking about? Many hadiths say she was 6, even saying she played with dolls and was a little girl:

Narrated ‘Aisha: I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah’s Apostle used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for ‘Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.) Say a classical Arab person wanted to write the word "26". Many times they would just write the word "six" followed by the numerical representation of "20", which was often mistaken for punctuation by translators.

I'll post a link in a bit showing Muhammad did this often.

Same with teens.

Okay please show that because I believe that is a first I have ever seen. Plus, the translations and Sharia laws made from them make it clear she was 6. The translators to English know full well, if what you say is true, to state that, but I believe you are mistaken. Many prominent muslims accept this fact too: https://youtu.be/Qf6mfM3_02U

Again, you are in the minority, arguing widely the accepted fact by the muslim world for 1400 years.

Hakim Niaz Ahmad(?) was the first to put it out there, he's a renowned scholar out of India.

There's actually a couple hadiths that write out her full age as tissa ashara, meaning 19.

I have not seen those hadiths. Plus the earliest and most widely respected scholars, Bukhari, Muslim, and others say she was 6 when married and 9 when she "consummated". Age of consent for girls in Iran is 9 years old (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/the-lowest-age-you-can-legally-get-married-around-the-world-10415517.html)) and the reason is because they followed Mohamed's example, i.e. Aisha was a child bride.

Also Sharia Law in Saudi Arabia used to have no age limit but now I think it's 10 years old. Child brides across the muslim world is a large problem that needs to be dealt with honestly.

I'm not arguing against the fact more than a few Muslim people take it seriously, it's just not true.
